Methinks I have figured out why
Master Blackwolf doth not send you story lines from Fort Tryon -- THERE
AREN'T ANY!!!!!!!! So this was our day: since the faire starts at noon,
MJ and I were there at a quarter to 10 because The Blue Knight said if
we wanted to find street parking, get down there early. Early we were!
We walked around for awhile, watching everyone set up. Then we decided to wander though the gardens: quite pretty (Photo, Left: MJ in the Heather Garden at Fort Tryon)!
After that we went down to the tiltyard to watch The Silver Jousters
practice, where we got to talk to our friend, The Blue Knight, and pet
his horse, Shadow. We also finally got to meet his beautiful new baby
boy and lovely wife!
We then met up with my friend from work -- Betsy and her family -- watched the Opening Parade, (Photo, Right: the Royal Court at Fort Tryon),and
waited while Katie -- Betsy's niece -- had her face painted. We also
met Master Blackwolf! He wanted to introduce MJ and me to another
friend- - Merdwin the Mediocre -- but, alas! we didn't get the pleasure
(Photo, Below: the New York Scottish Pipes and Drum Band parade during the Royal Procession).

After that we shopped a little, went to see The Blue Knight read one of his books and caught the early joust (Photo, Left: the knights in the Royal Procession).
I am so horse today! Then we ate and watched the Living Chess Game. Now
at the Chess Game someone always gets held hostage, but not this time.
After that we walked around some more to kill time afore the big joust!
Would
you like to guess who was screaming so loudly for Robin Hood (AKA "The
Blue Knight") that he stopped his steed, turned, smiled and waved (Photo,
Right: Robin Hood -- AKA Justin Ray Thompson -- on the grey mare, with
Maid Marian Fitzwalter -- AKA Kelly Anne Kilcoyne)!!??!! Now you know why he misses me when I do not go to Tux: my big mouth! MJ was dying!!! (Photo, Below: Sir Gawayne -- AKA Alen O'Hara -- at the Grand Joust).

Maid Marian saved the day as The Blue Knight hurt himself (Photo, Left: definitely NOT Maid Marian but a lovely bellydancer entertaining the crowd that day). Then the faire was over, o woe! Fort Tryon was a nice faire, but very, very crowded!!!
