SCA BATTLES AT KING'S CHAMPION MEDIEVAL FAIRE 2008 -- 02:07
SCA battles are fast and furious, no doubt -- and the action throughout the day at King's Champion Medieval Faire was certainly no exception! Here, two different melee combats have been combined into one video to highlight the speed and ferocity with which the SCA knights throw themselves into fighting: no quarter asked, no quarter given!!!

PIRATE MAYHEM AT KING'S CHAMPION MEDIEVAL FAIRE 2008 -- 02:50
A tense moment during KCMF 2008: the Duchess found herself the unwilling "guest" of the captain and crew of the pirate ship, "Seawolf," temporarily "docked" at Tulsa's Chandler Park. When the Duke heard the news, he immediately gathered his best knights and confronted the pirates down at the "wharf." Fortunately, the good captain was a reasonable man -- in other words, he'd cut a deal right then and there: the Duchess for a Letter of Marque. The Duke agreed and everyone was happy: he had his wife and the pirates were now legitimate "privateers." Well, maybe not EVERYBODY was happy -- there were all those knights who really, really wanted to take the "Seawolf" apart with their bare hands!

        MELEE AT KING'S CHAMPION MEDIEVAL FAIRE 2008 -- 02:14
The SCA wasn't the only reenactment group at King's Champion Medieval Faire 2008. The fighting group MELEE also showed up, with their boffer re-creations of actual combat swords. The "Iron Claw," for example, was one of the more exotic bits of weaponry used during MELEE battles! This video clip is actually made up of three different actions, including "Battle of the Zombie Masters" and "Kill the King!"
