If there were just one word to describe Kat, the Feline Faerie of Texas, that word would HAVE to be "playful"! Like her namesake, she's always ready for fun, whether meeting a goblin face-to-face at Excalibur (Photo, above); or perched on a handy tree limb, working on her faerie wardrobe at the Excalibur Patron Campground (Photo, left: a treed Kat!); or just dancing to the music around the campfire late at night (Photo, below right). Ryleh first met Kat in 2000 at the Texas Renaissance Festival, while she was hanging out with a mutual friend -- Ben -- who plays a Dark Faerie at TRF (unofficially, of course!). Since then, he has had the frequent pleasure of encountering her
most often at her home faire, TRF, but also at Excalibur and the Scarborough Renaissance Festival in Waxahachie. Kat always makes a great model at faire -- and NOT just because she is tall, slender and attractive, either! Since she is consistently at ease in front of the camera, ever willing to work with a photographer and knows how to pose to her best advantage, Kat is always a favorite with faire photographers like Ryleh and the Stalkwells, for example. Being naturally playful certainly doesn't hurt her any, too! Fact is, it makes her feline faerie character FAR more interesting and fun to photograph, for all that!!!
Another aspect of Kat: she always makes friends easily wherever she goes (Photo, left: whether sharing the shade of her parasol while chating with Aviana, the White Faerie); or simply visiting with the Knights of Chaos and their squires (Photo, below)!

Pretty in Pink: Kat poses in front of King Arthur's Round Table at the Excalibur Renaissance Festival in 2003 (Photo, below).
