OPENING GATE AT HEARTLAND FAIRE 2008 -- 01:46
With a rousing Irish reel and lovely dancing lass, "Queen's Gambit" welcomes patrons to the Grand Opening of the Heartland Renaissance Festival held in Shawnee, Oklahoma in 2008. But wait! Watch Byron the Bear as the music proves absolutely irresistible to this dancing bear!

OVERVIEW OF THE HEARTLAND FAIRE 2008 -- 1:59
While the Royal Bagpiper plays, the camera pans over the scene, showing the grounds of the Heartland Renaissance Festival 2008 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Amazingly, the Heartland Faire fit perfectly into four square acres, including the Jousting Field!

        QUEEN'S PROGRESS AT HEARTLAND FAIRE 2008 -- 00:36
Queen Elizabeth and Her Court take a brief tour thru the grounds of the Heartland Renaissance Festival 2008, greeting a gentle lady while the Queen's Own Militia practice with pikes in the background.

QUEEN'S OWN MILITIA AT THE HEARTLAND FAIRE 2008 -- 1:19
Her Majesty's Own Militia takes a practice turn thru The Serpentine during the Heartland Renaissance Festival at Shawnee, Oklahoma in 2008. Handling a 15-foot pike and marching at the same time is a LOT harder than it looks!

        RATPUCKING AT HEARTLAND FAIRE 2008 -- 03:34
Ratpucking is the peasant equivalent of Golf. Like golf, there is a course of 18 targets with score being kept in the number of strokes it takes to "puck" your rat thru the course. Obviously, a rat is used instead of a ball since rats are plentiful and cheap to come by! In this clip, the ratpuckers play a round at the Heartland Renaissance Festival 2008 held in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

FEARNA AT THE HEARTLAND FAIRE 2008 -- 1:41
From their website: "Feàrna is a Kansas City-based Celtic trio playing traditional Scottish and Irish folk music, as well as original songs with a period flair. Sometimes they can be persuaded to play English stuff, too. They don't look particularly ancient and venerable, but between them, they've racked up seventy-five years of musical experience!"

SEA DOGGES AT HEARTLAND FAIRE 2008, PART 1 -- 02:55
The Sea Dogges, led by Captain Black, sing "Isn't It Grand," a morbidly-humorous little ditty about a funeral during the Heartland Renaissance Festival 2008. Their appearance at Heartland capped their first full year as a musical pirate group in the Midwest RenCircuit.
